LEVEL 2  AGES 10-12 (50 mins) Tap & Jazz

TEEN AGES 13+
Progression in tap, continues. Jazz is introduced.

-Jazz is a freestyle form of dance involving stretch, isolations, & combinations influenced by contemporary dances and music.
-Tapis piggy-backed to the jazz class and is a great source for rhythmic & motor skill development.

BALLET (50 MINUTES) AGES 7-18   Beginning, Intermediate, & Teen levels  (50 mins)
Ballet develops excellent structure, tone, placement, technique, strength, & flexibility of the body. This class is essential for the well-rounded dancer.

PRE POINTE (50 MINUTES) AGES 12+
To ensure aspiring ballerinas are ready for pointe, we require students to take pre-pointe—a class separate from regular ballet technique. The curriculum allows teachers ample time to help students build the strength and alignment necessary for pointe work. The growth plates in your child’s feet must be done growing to ensure the safety of your child’s experience. Each child must also have 2 years of ballet experience to qualify.

HIP HOP (50 MINUTES) AGES 4-18   Mini, Level 1, Level 2, Advanced, Adult and B-Boy Various Levels based on Age and Gender.

This dance form refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970’s. Age appropriateness is a priority at BADC. This will be a huge deciding factor when it comes to what movements will be taught and the types of music that will be played in class.

LITURGICAL (50 MINUTES) AGES 7 AND UP
Christian Liturgy, meaning public worship, is sometimes incorporated in religious services. This class will provide a lyrical focus (a blend of ballet and jazz). The dancer will respond with an appropriate dance which flows out of the music and expresses how the lyrics inspire them. We will also work through a devotional discussion each week during warm ups that is focused on dance.
There is no better way to tie in faith with your child's favorite hobby!

ACROBATICS (50 MINUTES) AGES 7+
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It seamlessly blends dance and gymnastics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.

MODERN (50 MINUTES) AGES 9+

Modern incorporates  facial expressions that accompany the feelings and emotions of dance. Most importantly, modern is not just an intellectual and physical endeavor, but a creative one as well! This is a great class to teach students a more "free" expression of dance.

BATON (TWIRLING) (50 MINUTES) AGES 5+
Baton is an activity involving the manipulation of a metal rod and the performer's body to a coordinated routine. It is similar to rhythmic gymnastics or color guard (flag spinning).
